Why I Won’t Vote for Obama (and Why You Shouldn’t Either): He is a Partisan Leftist; A Divider, not a Uniter

As the most liberal member of the US Senate, Barack Obama has taken positions to left of every other Senator. Based on his voting record he is even ranked to the left of Bernie Sanders, the lone Socialist Party member. His talk about reaching out to work with both Republicans and Democrats is just that: talk. Obama has never worked with Republicans on any significant legislation—ever. The one example he gave to Rick Warren was a lie: he promised to work with John McCain on a bill and then broke his promise when some fellow Democrats objected.

Bottom Line: Nothing in his admittedly sparse record suggests he would work in a bi-partisan manner. He has an extreme leftist agenda of higher taxes, income redistribution, and socialized medicine, and he has never shown a desire to compromise. With a Democrat-controlled House and Senate a number of his policies could be enacted, weakening the economy and undermining our health care system—a focus of my next post.
